Create Your Own Envelopes

The image below shows the envelope PDF template open in Adobe Reader. It shows where to cut and where to fold to make your envelope.

The finished measurement for the envelopes you will need for your free christmas cards is 4-3/8 inches x 5-5/8 inches. It is a standard size and will accommodate the quarter fold 4-1/4 inch x 5-1/2 inch cards you can create from our files. You can also purchase envelopes of this size from any office supply store or you can use our free template below. See our Frequently Asked Questions for more information on purchasing envelopes.

After you print the template as shown below, you will need to cut out the four corner pieces as shown. Then you are ready to fold it into an envelope. First, fold the two tabs on the left and right sides inward. then fold the bottom tab upward. Finally, fold the remaining larger tab down finishing the card. You can tape or glue the bottom tab to the two side tabs if you like, but a single piece of tape on the larger top tab (after inserting your card) should be sufficient.
